Health service codes are extremely confusing. There are ICD, DRG, and CPT codes that all serve unique purposes and are very complex. If you received outpatient care, your services will typically be identified by CPT codes. These codes may be associated with a hospital/facility revenue code as well. Inpatient hospital care, on the other hand, is often coded with DRG codes.
